You might remember this framed piece of art. I shared it a few weeks ago before a few craft fairs.
I've had so many people ask me how it was made that I decided to share that with you. The words can be altered, easily, by substituting the panels with different letters and images. I've made them in "Friend" and "Faith" numerous times. I even made extra this year to give as gifts. There's no comparison to a hand-made gift.
Make It Instructions:
- Purchase an 8"x10" picture frame.
- The insert inside the frame will act as your template for the base cardstock where the panels and the letters will be attached. Measure that insert and cut your base cardstock (here I used Basic Black) the exact same size. IMPORTANT: All frames are NOT created equal so if you bought more than one to create, measure each frame insert carefully. (Go ahead, ask me how I know this! :D)
- Each panel is cut 2 3/4"x2 1/4". I used a mixture of designer papers.
- Use your punches to add quick, easy elements to the frame.
- Use stamps to add words that reflect the overall meaning of your framed art.
- Attach each panel, carefully aliging them. I recommend starting from the bottom and working your way up to use the bottom row as your guide to keep them straight. It's eaiser than you think.

- Big Shot: Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder #130917 (used for texture on the hearts); Serif Alphabet Die (retired)
- Accessories: Pearls Basic Jewels #119247, Dimensionals (Careful not to use too many or the frame won't close. I only used one on the bird wing.)
