If you're new to my blog there are a few things you can pretty much guarantee to see when you visit.

  • I love bling.  I almost always incorporate this into my projects!
  • I love finding new ways to use a stamp set - something you haven't seen elsewhere.
  • I love chocolate.  If I can incorporate it into a 3D project - I do!
  • I love vintage - the older, the more loved and used, the better. Lots of my projects have a romantic, vintage feel.

With that being said, it should be no surprise that I love paper doilies.

Stampin' Up! introduced a new variation in the Occasions Catalog on January 4th. These doilies are double-sided. One side is white, the other is vanilla.  They also have different edges than the Delicate White Doilies we currently carry in the annual catalog.  These Lace Doilies have pointed tips with more intricate laser cut designs.

As much as I've enjoyed them, I wanted to find a way to 'change' them.  And, I did!

Today's quick tip video will show you five different designs using the new Lace Doilies from the Occasions Catalog.

I've got a feeling you're going to love them as much as I do!

Succulents are Boo's favorite plants. She has several in her bedroom and they require little care. In her case - almost no care!

Although she hasn't stamped much lately, she does take time to look at each new catalog when it's released.  When the Oh So Succulent Bundle was introduced in the Occasions Catalog she urged me to get it.

And for good reason. Have you seen some of the amazing 3D projects on Pinterest?!  Oh my!  You can create plants that look just like the real thing.  No watering, transplanting or sunshine required!

Today's tutorial uses the Oh So Succulent Bundle (30 piece photopolymer stamp set and coordinating framelits). It's paired here with its coordinating designer paper and a little heat embossing for realism.

I've placed the tutorial below for those of you on a mobile device.  I also have a PDF tutorial available if you'd like to download it and save it for future inspiration.

Happy Friday everyone!

  10. Adhere the flowers to the layers by making an “X” with your adhesive on where you would like the flowers to be attached. Press the flowers in place.
  11. Die cut one of the long, skinny flowers that you used in step #8 using Old Olive cardstock. See picture. Adhere it under the flower as shown.

My great nephew, Luke, is turning two next month.  Although the 'baby days' are gone for him, I find myself making baby cards now for Boo's friends.

It's a pivotal time watching Boo's friends getting married and starting their own families.  Ahhh, I AM getting older!
