Thank you for joining us for our Stamp Out Autism Blog Hop!
1 in every 50 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Autism awareness is what this Blog Hop is all about and I'm grateful that you've taken the time to stop by.
You may have hopped here from Janet Wakeland's blog, so welcome! If you're starting here, AWESOME! We have 18 Stampin' Up! demonstrators on this hop sharing all kinds of wonderful paper crafting projects.
Birthdays are big deal in our family. It's not about getting older or wiser, it's about the celebration, and we always take pictures. What better way to preserve those memories then by scrapbooking them!
I created this 12"x12" double page spread with intentions on mounting the pictures right inside the cake layers.
(Click on the photos below to enlarge them.)
I created the candles from scraps of Birthday Bash Designer Paper. They are cut 1/2" x 3". The flame is from the Bird Builder punch. That wing works out perfectly as a flame, doesn't it? The words "Happy" are from the Hello You Thinlits.
I stamped the greeting on the Whisper White cardstock in Calypso Coral ink. I then stamped it again in Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry ink. I cut out the words and mounted them on Dimensionals to create this multicolor image. The small stars are from the Confetti Star Punch and were easily attached using the 2-Way Glue Pen.
Don't stop here! Hop on over to Diana Gibbs for her fabulous project. I'm a huge fan of Diana's work and I know you're going to love what she has to share today!
Maybe you'd like to help? Even a $1 donation contributes to this great cause. I've set up a fundraising page on The Autism Society of America's website. Giving is secure and convenient. CLICK HERE to go to my fundraising page.
