Happy Easter!
It's a very special day. It's the day we remember Jesus – his sacrifice and his resurrection.
I'm reminded, everyday, of my imperfections. Just like this card.
Take a close look.
Do you see the big wrinkle in the middle of the cardstock?
I have no idea how it got there because it wasn't there when I made the card.
Perhaps in transporting it to and from my downline meeting, and it's repeated handling, is when that wrinkle happened.
The oval silhouette was created using the Ovals Collection Framelits.
I cut one out from cardstock and layered over my stamped image and sponged.
Here's a warning about this sponging technique. Sponge lightly. It looks a lot darker when you remove the oval. You can always go back and add more color but you can't remove it.
I thought about not sharing this card with you because of that wrinkle.
But, you know what?
Whether the card is perfect or not doesn't really matter today.
It's symbolic to me.
Only one of us is perfect
Jesus.
Happy Easter – He is risen!
Beautiful card! Thanks for sharing the details.
Thank you for commenting, Sharon! I love getting some feedback. Happy Easter!
